RE-ENCARNATION OF THE AFRICAN PRINT.... ASOS AFRICAS INITIATIVE

ways to accessorize the print this is a day look for lunch with the girls or simply a date.

The african print took over fashion last year by storm. from the simple kitenge's our mums used to wear to kikoyis and  especially the maasai shuka that was even went  louis vuitton in its autumn-winter collection.  The African print has its origins in east and west of africa with its name in EASTAFRICAN COUNTRIES IS KITENGE WHILST CHITENGE IN COUNTRIES LIKE  ZAMBIA. How unexpected of that.. we did not know fashion was right under our noses  here in KENYA which is quite surprising and wanting that we look to the west and east for fashion trends and inspiration when it comes to fashion... however it does not mean that we are not creative like the rest  we have our very owns like KIKIROMEO and BLACKBIRD.

however i really like what ASOS AFRICA did with the lesso and kitenge they explored the print and transformed it to flawless perfection in the designs .. TOO AWESOME even celebs like Michelle obama has her own print going on! check them out! ASOS AFRICA is a UK based fashion house with its original name as ASOS. check them out! When in kenya make sure to visit MAASAI MARKET for awesome buys on african  stuff  from jewellery to sandals and also to visit the coast of kenya a.k.a Malindi et Mombasa. Visit SOKO AFRICA whilst there for african attire and material.. the culture is deep in this towns is particularilly the origin of the lesso hence the lesso print!

Maasai market is usually on Tuesdays in  The Nairobi CBD just before citihall or at CAPITAL CENTRE on Wednesdays along Mombasa road. You can also visit shops in MALINDI and MOMBASA towns. bon apres midi :)
